Franklin River Raftings response to Covid19

*The Tasmanian Premiers announced that borders will be open to all states from the 15th of December 2021. All trips scheduled after this date should be running as planned. If the rules change we will need to adapt to suit.

We are coming into our second season of operating during the pandemic and whilst not out the woods have learnt a lot.

To mitigate the risk posed we have increased our already high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.

Our group sizes are small and due to the nature of the expedition the activities are outdoors and for an extended period of time. Essentially quarantine in the best place on earth for 8-10 days at a time.

Leading up to the expedition we ask you to be extra vigilant to adhere to best practices and reduce risk of exposure.

It is essential that you do not travel or attempt to join our expeditions if you are not 100% well and/or are showing symptoms of Covid 19.

Whilst taking part in our expeditions, including the pre-trip briefing, travel to and from the river it is required that all measures put in place by public health are adhered to.

This includes the wearing of facemasks if required. Please bring your own facemask for the expedition.

Covid cancellation policy.

What if you are not able to join the expedition due to a snap lock down, border restrictions or personally testing positive to Covid19?

In consideration of the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to safeguard against unforeseen cancellations; unfortunately we are unable to provide refunds for tour cancellations."

Please see our full Terms and Conditions before booking a trip, due to the small group sizes and immense amount planning for each expedition cancellations policies are very strict.
